And after it nurses, it then begins to eat the wheat, and the Daat is revealed in it, as our sages, may their memory be blessed, said (Berachot 40b) about the tree from which Adam HaRishon ate, that it was wheat. Hence it is called the Tree of Knowledge, and then the Daat begins to be revealed in it and to shine until it is thirteen years and a day old, and then it is called a complete man, and his Daat is like that of the rest of mankind. But it does not yet have so much presence of mind, and through the passage of time the Daat is revealed in it, and it is added to him to be settled in his mind.
