He also caused a second flaw with regard to himself. For at first his rank was exceedingly great, for even at the very hour he was created, his rank was greater than the present rank of Metatron. For behold, Metatron is in Yetzira alone, whereas the head of Adam HaRishon was then in the world of Beria, which was the place of the present ZA of Atzilut; and the ends of the lower joints of his feet, which are in the six lower [Sefirot] of Assiya, were then in the place of the six first [Sefirot] of the present Yetzira. And all the more so in the two other aspects — the second and the third — when even his feet were within the world of Atzilut, and he could also have ascended to exceedingly great ascents through his prayers on the Sabbath day, had he not sinned, as above.
