And know that all this is only the Achoraim of BaN and the Achoraim of MaH, both in ZA and in the Nukva; therefore they were still back to back, for both of them were the aspect of Achor. And afterward, they return and take the Panim of BaN and the Panim of MaH, both in ZA and in the Nukva, and then they return face to face. Understand this key greatly. However, while ZA takes the Panim, and Rachel still has only Achoraim, then it is called "Panim and Achor." Understand this. And after he drew the Panim into Rachel, then both of them are face to face.

1The posterior of BON and the posterior of MA, both in ZA and in the Nukva. Meaning: even though Rachel has already joined with Leah into a single Partzuf, and they occupy the whole length of ZA, and Rachel is found with ZA in equal level behind him, even so there is in these Mochin nothing but the discernment of the posterior of the two of them alone. For they are only for the completion of the vessels of Rachel, as above, and therefore they are still the discernment of posterior, since every completion of vessels is Mochin of the posterior. And the ARI has already explained above that Rachel takes all the posterior of the HaVaYaH of MA from the discernment of the number alone: the discernment of the number of AB, from the posterior HaVaYaH of Keter; and the number of the 26 letters of the square of the HaVaYaH of MA, which is the posterior of Hochma; and the number of the 156 letters of the filling of the filling of the HaVaYaH of MA, which is the posterior of Bina; and the number of the 26 letters of the square of the HaVaYaH of MA, which is the posterior of ZA, the ZA. And the discernment of the letters themselves of these squares — which are the ten letters of the square of the HaVaYaH of Keter, and the 26 letters of the square of the HaVaYaH in the filling of MA, and the 156 letters of the square of the filling of the filling, and the 26 letters of the filling of the lower MA, which is ZA of ZA — all these squares remained in ZA. It follows that at the time when they were back to back in equal level up to the Keter of ZA, nevertheless there is in each one only the discernment of posterior, for the discernment of the count, which is the BON of ZA, was sawn off and given to the Nukva, while the discernment of the posterior of the letters themselves remained in ZA. As written above, page 1728, the passage beginning “They are sawn”; see there. And this is what he says, “all this is only the posterior of BON and the posterior of MA,” as explained.
