*Now that the previous chapter has explained the matter of the two discernments, of externality [Hitzoniut] and internality [Pnimiut], and how the two Iburim [conceptions] mentioned — of nine and of seven — served in the internality, after the discernment of the externality preceded them, in which the two Iburim of twelve and of nine served: we shall now explain at length, from here onward, the discernment of the externality. I have already informed you that the externality precedes the internality; and from the externality you will learn about the internality, for the internality was likewise in the manner of the externality, except that it was made after the externality, as mentioned. And we shall begin to explain the matter of the externality of ZON [Zeir Anpin and Nukva].
