- And because her first sparks were not corrected, they clung to her and took hold in her, in the secret of "a rose among thorns." And these thirty-two [sparks] that were not corrected are called "the heart of stone." And the secret of these three hundred and twenty sparks, together with the name Adonai, which totals sixty-five, all becomes Shechina, for everything is included in her.

This is what he says: “And because her first sparks were not corrected, they clung to her and took hold in her, in the secret of ‘a rose among thorns,’ etc.” — for all those sparks of hers that came out at the time of Nekudim in her nine first ones, all these lie among the shells in the secret of the heart of stone. And since they are parts and limbs of Malchut that dropped off from her, she sustains and maintains them in the secret of Nehiru Dakik [a faint illumination], by which she shines to them — for through this she is destined to gather them back to herself afterward, at the time of the end of correction. And since she sustains and maintains them out of this necessity, as above, they are therefore bonded to her and take hold in her, to the extent that they can receive their sustenance from her — and this is the secret of “and her feet go down to death.” However, through the sin of the lower ones, the shells receive the power to suck from Malchut far beyond the measure of their sustenance, and then she is called “a rose among thorns,” for the thorns rob from her the abundance she needs for her own sustenance, since they are bonded to her. This is called the exile of the Shechina. And all this is because the greater parts of Malchut have not yet been sorted out, and they lie within the mixture of the shells, as explained.
This is what he says: “And the secret of these 320 sparks, together with the name Adonai, which totals sixty-five, all becomes Shechina, for everything is included in her” — this teaches us that the completeness of the holy Shechina is not revealed until all 320 sparks are corrected in their fullness, since they are all parts of her building, including the very first parts as well, as explained.
