And indeed this clothing is divided into several aspects. For behold, first, before the emergence of these Mochin, ZA was an ish [man] possessing VAK, and he then had a single Tzelem for the VAK. And about that Tzelem it is said, “But in the image alone does a man walk about” (Psalms 39:7), for ZA is still called ish, and not Adam. And now, when these Mochin, which are called Tzelem, as above, come to him, they are called the Tzelem of Adam, for he is already called a complete Adam. And about this Tzelem it is said, “And Elokim created the Adam in His image” (Genesis 1:27), and likewise, “for in the image of Elokim He made the Adam” (Genesis 9:6), for ZA is called Adam, and this Tzelem is called the Tzelem of Adam.
