And we shall explain the three letters of Tzelem [image], how they are the three letters of Yod-Heh-Vav. And first we shall begin with the Mem of Tzelem. For behold, it goes from below upward, and the Mem within it is the uppermost phase of them all, and corresponding to it is the Yod of Yod-Heh-Vav, which is Hochma. And behold, the Mem of Tzelem is composed of four Mochin — Hochma, Bina, Hesed, Gevura — each one composed of ten [Yod]; thus we get Mem [forty].
