And the matter is that the coupling of Jacob and Leah, which is after midnight — behold, then it continues and is drawn through all of the time from midnight until the light of morning. And this is the secret of "and it was in the morning, and behold, it was Leah," for until it is actually morning, Leah is still with Jacob in coupling together in her place. And in particular, with what was said by us, that there is an aspect of coupling for Jacob with Leah in the secret of the "dawn of the hind" (Ayelet HaShachar), when the day begins to shine, as is implied in the Zohar, Parashat Vayishlach, page 178, side 1.
