And the matter is that we have already explained the matter of the clarification of the seven — what it is: for everything is drawn from the secret of the seven first kings, who died and were nullified, and there was dross in them, as is known; and that dross is mixed with all the holiness in them. Therefore one must clean them and clarify the holiness, to extract from it the secret of the dross. And it is already known that it is impossible for the dross that comes out of the pure silver not to have some pure silver mixed in it; and then one must clean the dross a second time, to extract that small amount of the sparks of silver that remained mixed in them.
