Also the Tifferet of ZA — Bina did not expand in it, for the NHY of Ima are long and expand greatly in the two lines, right and left; but her Yesod, which is in the middle line, ends in his Daat. 1The Tifferet of ZA — Bina did not expand in it, for the NH of Ima are long and expand greatly in the two lines, right and left; but her Yesod, which is in the middle line, ends in his Daat. And at first glance this is against all the places in the words of the ARI, where the Yesod of Ima expands until the Chazeh [chest] of ZA, while here he says that it ended in the Daat of ZA. Indeed, the ARI has already made a distinction in this, that at the time of the coming of the Mochin, when the HGT ascend and become HBD, and from NHY they become HGT, then the Yesod of Ima has no expansion in these NHY that became HGT, but it ascends with the vessels of HGT that became HBD, and it ends there in the Daat of ZA.
So that these NHY that became HGT have in them the virtue of HGT and the virtue of NHY. They have the virtue of HGT, in that they have Hassadim in abundance as in the vessels of HGT. And they have the virtue of NHY, in that they are the discernment of revealed Hassadim, which prevail after the Sium [end] of the Yesod of Ima, as in the vessels of NHY that are from the Chazeh and below; for the screen has now already ended in the Daat that is in the Rosh [head] of ZA, and the HGT can now be revealed Hassadim. And therefore there is no expansion of Bina here into Tifferet, for the Yesod of Ima, which is in the middle line, ended in the Daat that is in the Rosh, and does not reach the Tifferet of ZA, as above. And this is before the First Temple, since there were there only the Mochin of YESHSUT.
2After the building of the First Temple, Bina expanded until the second Hod of ZA, and they are now the seven Sefirot in which Bina expands within ZA. For through the building of the First Temple the Nukva was corrected permanently in the sixth discernment, in which she is great, in an equal level with ZA, and she receives the lights of the first five while she is with them above — which means that ZA and the Nukva ascend above and attain Mochin of AVI, and clothe them above in their place, as is written concerning Shabbat, in Musaf. For then ZA himself has Mochin of Haya, which are true Mochin for him, and therefore the lights expand also to the new NHY; for the lights of HGT now descend to the new NHY, and the lights that were in HBD descend to HGT, and the Mochin of Haya come to HBD, as the ARI writes on page 1202, item 197. See there. And it turns out that Ima expands in him until the second Hod, namely until the Hod of the new NHY, as explained. And therefore it is regarded that there is here an expansion of Bina in seven Sefirot of ZA, which are HBD HG NH, since Bina has now expanded also into the new NHY, as explained. However, into Tifferet there is no expansion of the Yesod of Bina, as above, for in the NHY that became HGT the Yesod of Bina does not expand, but rather it rises with the HGT that became HBD, and it ends in the Daat that is in the Rosh [head] of ZA, as above. See there. And therefore, before the First Temple, the expansion of Bina is regarded as being in five Sefirot of ZA: HBD HG. And after the building of the First Temple, the expansion of Bina is regarded as being in seven Sefirot of ZA: HBD HG NH.
