You find that the kings that remain from the sorting are the very vitality of the shells. They are the ones who said, “Where are their gods, the rock in whom they trusted,” as the number eleven, and they are the eleven signs of the incense that rise upward when they burn. They depart from within the dross, which are called death, and then the dross and the death are canceled and the plague stops.
