This is the secret of what is said in Idra Rabba, page 136, side B, and in Ha'azinu, page 293, that the forehead (metzach) and Netzah are as one in consecutive letters. That is, the letter Mem of "metzach" is interwoven with the Nun of "netzach," since they are consecutive letters in the alphabet, for such is the manner of combination. And likewise Netzah and Yesod are close to each other, just as the ears are to the forehead, and all become one, because there the judgments and the mights are revealed, as is known: through the Yesod the five Gevurot emerge, except that in Arich Anpin the judgments are subdued within the Hassadim and are not revealed, because the Hassadim prevail in them, for always the drop of Hassadim is hidden in the mouth of the true Yesod, as mentioned in Idra Rabba, page 142, side A. And it is the secret of the Hassadim of Atik, hidden in the skull of Arich Anpin; and from there it descends and is hidden in the Yesod of Atik, which is in the forehead of Arich Anpin, in the secret of "Light is sown for the righteous."
