And this is also the reason for what is said in the Book of the Zohar, in Parashat Pinchas, page 231: that the first holiday of Rosh HaShanah is called "harsh judgment" and the second day "soft judgment." For on the second day the sawing is from the Tifferet downward, which is the upper section of her Netzah, and there is the place of the revealed lights, as mentioned. Therefore the judgments and Gevurot that are in this place, and from there onward, are called "soft judgment," for the revealed lights shine in them and sweeten them.
