There is yet a second reason for this, namely what we have stated above: that after the Shofar blast of the first day, the Gevurot are drawn to the Nukva by ZA and not by the Supernal Ima, for by the Shofar blast the judgments were already sweetened and mitigated.

*And behold, from the first day of Rosh HaShanah until Yom Kippur, all ten Sefirot of Rachel, the Nukva of ZA, are sawed from his back; and then, on the eve of Yom Kippur, the work of her sawing is completed, and it follows that she was not fit for coupling. Therefore, during all these days, between Rosh HaShanah and Shemini Atzeret, all the couplings are entirely Israel or Jacob with Leah, as stated.
