And the reason for this difference in Arich Anpin was that I have already made known to you the secret of the kings who died, which are the secret of the points (Nekudot); and afterwards they were corrected. But in the head of the Atik there was no aspect of the kings who died, as is explained in our [teaching]; however, from Arich Anpin and below there was in it the clarification of the seven kings. Therefore Arich Anpin, which clothes and receives the light of the Atik itself, had no power in its Bina to receive his light; therefore it descended into the throat, for from a distant place it is able to receive illumination.
